Happy Birthday Lizzi

My precious neice will be
celebrating her 15th birthday April 3rd!

This lovely image is "Cara".
I used My Minds Eye paper & Twinkling H20s
The ribbon and sentiment are from Stampin' Up
"Cara" is from the StampBarn
I don't normally work with pinks,
but I needed color-therapy!

And finally,  a closer view of the "buttons"
A friend, and fellow Design Team Member
let me borrow this Martha Steward punch.
I think the possibilities are endless....
Do I have to give it back?!? :)

Reflection

Wanted to post this little cutie tonight
as I am reminded how blessed we are.

"Reflection" is the name of this Sugar Nellie.
How sweet is she as she looks off into
the distance ... what is she thinking?
Hold close your loved ones as we never
know when they will leave us.
Rest In Peace, Michelle Lowe

Okay - Seriously? I've not posted since March 12th!  I am in the midst of my Spring conference for work and wanted to check in and say Hey to All! I will be back in my craft room this weekend (If I can remember where it is in my house) for some much needed Craft Time! The past two weeks have been beyond busy and I am ready for things to slow down. Anxiously looking forward to getting some challenges completed over the weekend and post projects from a swap I am in .... Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Sugar Bowl Challenge #31

I can't believe almost a week has gone by without a post!
The days have been too short, as have the nights!
Saw the Sugar Bowl Challenge and just had to play along.

Love the "Demure"  image &  the stars requirement
had me thinking sweet dreams and bedtime stories.
Products:
Stampin' Up paper, Distress Inks and Twinkling H2Os,
Prima Flowers and Tim Holtz metals
(along with a little bit of this and that)

Have an awesome weekend!

Fellow Design Team Member Posts Challenge

Jen Young
has posted a challenge on her blog.
Check out her "I Miss You" card
and post 'your take' on the theme.

Jen and I will both be designing for
so I thought I would  enter her challenge
to get the ball rolling so-to-speak!

I chose a cute little Magnolia image
with her arms wide open....
" Miss you".... "This Much"

The Sugar Bowl Challenge #30

Well.... Here it is.. my entry for the Sugar Bowl challenge.
I wasn't going to post this until tomorrow
but have a busy day planned
and wasn't sure how much time I would have to 'play' so ....

The theme was 'shabby chic'
All elements have been sanded, scrubbed, distressed ... you name it I shabbified it.
The buttons are my favorite!
I did take a lttle liberty with the 'circle element'
and used the large flower as the circle.

May You Have Colorful Birthday!

Good Monday Morning!
The card I have chosen to share with you today is
the stair step card I made for my Dad for his birthday.
He is an avid gnome lover and this Stampin' Up image fit the bill perfectly!
The first image has just the base color without any highlighting or shading -
the second image adds a little more depth and shading
and the third shows the gnome in all his colorful glory.
I did the same thing with the grass; adding more layers as the stair step progresses.
My thought for the card was how our lives gain more depth and color as the years pass.
(As evident by the need for more COLOR to cover the GRAY hair I recently found).
